In spate of the recent announcements by the US Government regarding
withdrawal from the IRAN Nuclear Agreement, the UN Secretary-General
António Guterres said, I am deeply concerned by the announcement that
the United States will be withdrawing from the Joint Comprehensive Plan
of Action (JCPOA) and will begin reinstating United States sanctions. I
have consistently reiterated that the JCPOA represents a major
achievement in nuclear non-proliferation and diplomacy and has
contributed to regional and international peace and security."

ONE MILLION ROHINGYA REFUGEES, HOST COMMUNITIES BEING VACCINATED AGAINST CHOLERA IN A JOINT INTIATIVE BY WHO & UNICEF

A massive cholera vaccination campaign has begun to protect nearly one
million Rohingyas and their host communities living in and around the
refugee camps in Bangladesh, to prevent any potential outbreak during
the ongoing monsoon season.
This is a second cholera vaccination campaign being held for the
Rohingyas and their host communities. Earlier 900,000 doses of oral
cholera vaccine were administered to the vulnerable population in two
phases in October – November last year.

Accepting the recommendations made by the steering committee on
Greenfield Airports,  Sh. Suresh Prabhu today accorded site clearance
approval to the Greenfield International Airport at Purander, Pune and
the Noida International Greenfield Airport at the North of Jewar
Village, Uttar Pradesh.
Shri Suresh Prabhu, Minister for Civil Aviation also said that the
government is committed to the building of airport capacity as part of
NABH (NextGen Airports for BHarat) Nirman initiative. He said that the
three key aspects of NABH Nirman are (1) fair and equitable land
acquisition, (2) long-term master plan for airport and regional
development and (3) balanced economics for all stakeholders. He said

Railways opts for Artificial Intelligence to Monitor the Food Production in Base Kitchens

An artificial intelligence module has been developed by IRCTC to find
anomalies in standard operating procedure using CCTV footage. With this
module base Kitchens will be monitored pan India.  The Artificial
Intelligence module realises the value of their videos and photos with
vision computing. It can detect an unexpected change or an event that
does not conform to the expected pattern using their machine learning
algorithms.
To begin with, 16 base kitchens of IRCTC have been installed with high
definition cameras connected to huge monitors for AI vision detection.
Live streaming of 16 base kitchens is played all the time. The system
detects anomalies of head gear, uniforms, rodents and mopping across
kitchens and raises issues to be dealt accordingly with by IRCTC.
