Konark temple is famously known as the sun temple which is situated in Odisha, India
It is a very famous as the first days of the sun reaches here but is also related to various controversies. It enjoyed its place in the sun, the people of this place with the first rays of the sun starts their life but when the sun sets it vanishes behind the colossal stone edifice. The Konark music and dance festival was started late Gangadhar Pradhan. This time it was the 32nd the festival was held.
The festival began with the performance of an exponent of Odisha who performed the arts at the open air Natya mandap, a replica of the Sun Temple’s Natyashala. On the second day of the fest, children of the Gurukul learning gotipua left everyone spellbound with their acrobatic stances, intense training, and technique.
Each evening the fest began with the blowing of conch by young boys marching from the Siva temple at the entrance to the stage This festival brings together classical dancers, musicians (instrumental and vocal) and folk artists from across the country
This festival also plays an important role in bringing together different art and represents them as one in the whole span of three days.
