PM modi unveils project of first hindu temple in Abu Dhabi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated and led the foundation stone of the first Hindu temple to be launched in the capital city of UAE ie Abu Dhabi.The inauguration ceremony was carried out through video conferencing and PM Modi said that “the temple will not only be unique in terms of architecture and splendour but also enthralls a message of ‘Vasudhaiba Kutumbakam’ to the people across the world.”

The inaugural ceremony was live streamed to the Dubai Opera House where PM Modi was interacting with the Indian diaspora.The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was also thanked by our PM on behalf of 125 crore Indians for the construction of the temple.The temple authorities presented the plan and and design to both the heads of the nation.The temple will be named as Bochasanwasi Shri Aksar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha(BAPS) Temple.


The sacred temple will be constructed on 55000 square metres of land,and will showcase Indian culture and traditions through hand-carved wall murals by expert Indian temple artisans.It is expected to be completed by 2020 and will be open to people of all religious backgrounds.It will be the first biggest and traditional Hindu Temple in the Middle East.

After presiding the seat in 2015,PM Modi visited the UAE for the first time and thanked the gulf countries to provide a home like environment to the Indian diaspora.He said “we will work together to meet each other’s demands and to bring to reality the dreams you see,here and in India.”He was also elated to announce the growth of India’s rank in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business and also welcomed many startups for FDI in India which will further improve and boost bilateral ties between both the nations
