Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma does not know how to handle stardom and fame. The actress says that she still kind of lives in a denial and wants to lead to normal life.
Anushka has come a long way from being a model, to an actress and at a very young age she turned Film producer. She is one of the most sought after actress in Bollywood and hard work definitely pays off.
Sharma recently featured in the “Forbes 30 under 30 Asia” 2018 list.
Ask the actress, how has her fame affected her life, the actress replies, “I have never answered this question. Not even thought about it. I have always been very awkward with fame. I am not an actor who has embraced fame completely," Anushka said.
"There are actors who embrace fame... Like Salman Khan is a star, and he embraces his fame. Like Varun Dhawan when he is out there, he embraces his stardom. If he will go out to the crowd, he will be comfortable. If I will go to a crowd, I will be uncomfortable,” concludes the Sui-Dhaaga actress.
The actress is currently is busy with the promotions of “Sui-Dhaaga” promotions.
Anushka asserts that she is not "someone who embraces her stardom". "I still stay in denial about it, and reluctant as well." For her, normalcy is very important. "I want to do normal things. I want to go to a grocery store and all. I want to be able to do simple things and normal things."
Anushka, who is married to ace cricketer Virat Kohli, says fame is a "double-edged sword". "I get real satisfaction when my films are watched. I want more people to go and watch it. It is a double-edged sword like that. When people support me, like I have seen how in my worst times they (my fans) have stood by me... I want to give them my everything."
Anushka sharma Bollywood debut was nothing less than a dream as she got to star opposite Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan in her very first movie, “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”. She got noticed in the movie thanks to her good looks and acting chops. The diva had her own share of highs and lows; she had several flops like Badmaash Company, Patiala House, Bombay Velvet, Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola and Jab Harry Met Sejal.
On the other hand, Anushka gave several hits at Box-office like Jab Tak Hai Jaan, PK, NH10, Dil Dhadakne Do, Sultan and Sanju.
Apart from working in other films, she also produced many films in her home banner “Clean Slate Films” NH10, Phillauri and Pari all of which did great at Box-office.
The beautiful actress had been experimenting with different Genre of films throughout her career like she did Romantic Comedy like “Rab ne Bana di Jodi”, she also acted in crime thriller like “NH10” and then there is also horror film like “Pari” in which is acted.
On the big screen, Anushka will next be seen as Mamta in Sui Dhaaga - Made in India, which features Varun Dhawan as her life and business partner Mauji. Helmed by Sharat Katariya, the film will open on September 28.
"It is a very commercial film and I think it is a right kind of commerce — you have a proper concept backed by content said in a way which is completely commercial."
