On Saturday August 11, Mohammad Jeeshan was arrested by the Noida Police for imitating Facebook of Acharya Balkrishna Director of Patanjali Ayurved Limited.
A mobile phone with 2 sim cards have been recovered from the accused who was indulged in creating fake facebook account on social media and was also invovled in inappropriate conversation with his followers.
SK Tijarawala, Patanjali spokesperson said that a strict action should be taken against the suspect, after the arrest was made. He tweeted in Hindi, “What has happened is against the culture, religion, and values of Indian society, and an attempt to defame religious leaders by spreading false information about them. Accused in such cases should be given the same punishment as that given to those guilty of rape."
Earlier also Mr. Tijarawala made an appeal to PM Narendra Modi to introduce strict law against the people in order to prevent the current social media fraudulent activities.
The matter was highlighted when a transformed image of Yoga Guru Ramdev was posted in a WhatsApp group on International Yoga Day.
