Though' he took only 1 wicket within the final, his correct bowling within the second half of the Bangladesh innings helped the Indian bowlers to keep up the pressure. He ended with figures of 1 for 39 as Bangladesh lost their last nine wickets for 102 runs.
After the match, Bumrah through a tweet took a dig at Rajasthan Police who had poked fun at him for bowling a no-ball within the Champions Trophy final against Pakistan last year that in which he took the wicket of Fakhar Zaman which was later upturned.
