Best Of 2021: 5 Grooming Trends That Ruled This Year & Became Everyone’s Favourite

From quarantine beards to long hairstyles, this year was pretty much the same as 2020, only with double masks.

Even though 2021 wasn’t what we expected, it did bring about a set of grooming trends that we absolutely loved.

In fact, some of these trends are so good that we only hope to see more of them next year.

Nail paints, makeup and what not, this year taught us to embrace our choices with open arms and not let stereotypes define us.

Here are five of the best grooming trends of this year.

1. Long Hairstyles

Long hairstyles started trending after the salons were shut during the first lockdown. While we saw our favourite celebrities embracing their long hair, we couldn’t help but fall in love with this trend yet again this year. Loose curls, layered waves or braids, long hairstyles surely became a much loved grooming trend.

2. Manicured Nails

Harry Styles’s smiley nails or Prateik Babbar’s skull themed nail art, it’s time to level up your grooming routine and step out of your comfort zone. Fun and quirky nails are a thing now and we’re all for it.

3. K-Beauty Inspired Makeup Looks

Makeup for men took a huge leap this year with more and more men indulging in light coverage BB creams and concealers. Alongside the basics, K-Beauty trends like, light smokey eye liners, saw a huge shift in popularity, all thanks to K-Pop and K-Drama artists.

4. Sheet Mask Supremacy

Another Korean skincare trend, sheet masks are only becoming increasingly popular with every passing year. From celebrities to influencers, sheet masks seem to be a part of everyone’s skincare routine. If you’re yet to try one, try it now and trust us, your skin will be thankful.

5. Back To The Basics

Last but not the least, the most noticeable beard trend this year was the shift towards maintaining a stubble. This trend was in complete contrast with last year’s full grown, long beard styles. What can we say, a stubble is easier to maintain after all.
