July 18, Nokia to launch X5 like iPhone under Rs 10,000

On July 18, HMD Global has launched an event where it will announce the launch of a new handset Nokia X5. It said that it had to cancel the previous launch date of July 11 due to some issues. Nokia X6 was unveiled in China only and the handset will be rebranded as Nokia 5.1 Plus for the global markets.
The smartphone will have a display of 19:9 with up to 6GB of RAM and is expected to sport an octa-core SoC. The company will live stream the launch event on its website.
Nokia X5 is expected to be priced at 799 yuan which is roughly Rs. 8,200/-. If these are the prices for Nokia X5, then it will marginally less than Nokia X6 which is being sold in China earlier this year.
It is expected to come with a 19:9 display with 5.85-inch HD+display. Along with 32GB or 64GB storage options, the handset will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor paired with 3 or 4 or 6GB options. A 3000mAh battery is expected under the cover and will have dual camera featuring 13 megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors expected on the rear side while the front will have an 8-megapixel camera.
