Labourer found Gold coins during road construction in Chhattisgarh of 12th century

In Chhattisgarh’s Kondagaon disctrict, a labourer found a pot filled with gold and silver coins of 12th century while constructing site in Chhattisgarh’s Kondagaon district.

“Prima facie, these are gold and silver coins. A pot containing 57 gold coins, a silver coin and a gold earring was unearthed during the construction of a road between Korkoti and Bedma villages,” said by District Collector Neelkanth Tekam.

He also added that they will take the necessary precaution for its preservation and Archaeological department will be able to give more information.
