Patanjali who is currently ruling market for his consumer good have entered into telecom sector. Patanjali have launched it Swadeshi-Samradhi Sim card in alliance with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). Baba Ramdev from Patanjali have now offered a SIM card wherein one can make unlimited calls, SMS & can avail 2 GB data pack with a recharge of Rs 144 only. Currently the benefits are being availed by Patanjali employees and office bearers and after the full fledged launch, people will be able to get 10% discount on Patanjali products. Not only that, people can also get health, accidental and life insurance as it comes with the medical and LI covers of Rs 2.5 Lakhs and Rs 5 Lakhs respectively.
Sunil Garg, BSNL Chief General Manager said, the employees of Patanjali can get the SIM card from any of the BSNL center of the country. They have to show their identity and have to do some paper work thereafter the SIM will be avticated soon and they can get unlimited calls, 100 SMS’s and 2 GB pack only on a recharge of Rs 144.
In year ended March, 2017, it was reported a 53.7% growth in the net profit at Rs 1,193.8 crores for Patanjali as per filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC) and data platform Tofler and in financial year 2017, Patanjali had announced 111 % rise in its turnover to Rs 10,561 crores.
