Iran's Revolutionary Guard mentioned that it launched missiles on eastern Syria, targeting fighters, it accused for a recent attack on a military parade in southwestern Iran.
"Our iron fist is ready to deliver a decisive and crushing response to any wickedness and mischief of the enemies," the Guards said in a statement on Monday.
The attack passed at 2am and targeted the bases of "takfiri terrorists" backed by America and regional powers in eastern part of Syria, the statement further mentioned. Iranian officers typically use the word "takfiri" to brief about the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, conjointly called ISIS) fighters.
The powerful military said that a minimum of six missiles were fired to Syria. They further said that seven drones also went to bomb rebel targets throughout the attack that killed variety of fighters and destroyed suppliers and infrastructure used by the group.
